This next lesson that I've added to my "top 10" of my 30 years of living life is a lesson I've always had a tough time to accept. I love the fact that I've come to accept it and have it as part of my coaching process.
7 - "Failure is needed in order to have Success"
Not a single positive influencial person that I've seen as a spiritual mentor had instant success. They had to undergo multiple downfalls before they really hit the success they currently live in.
Doesn't a great story have to undergo multiple drafts? Then why are we so afraid of making mistakes on the path of creating great experiences for ourselves?
The feeling of perfectionism is a dangerous path to be always focused on. The feeling of Perfection only lasts in that brief moment, so when you strive for perfection your mind is working on Past-energy. When you continually focus on the feeling of perfection, that Past-energy continues to fight against the natural flow of energy. The natural flow of energy stays in the present moment.
Staying in the focus of Continal Growth, the present moment harmoniously works with you. Each thing or project that we do should be focused with growth as the goal.
(They are not called 'growing tickles', right?)
Keep your awareness on growth (now-energy) versus perfection (past/old-energy). You'll be amazed at the shift you'll feel when you can let go of perfection and enjoy the glorious journey of failure...you'll soon reach the success you desire.
